The best time to visit the waterfall is in the early winters, because rainfall is pretty heavy here and it is not advisable to visit this place during that time. Other places to visit here is the Raja’s seat, the Madikeri Fort, the Omkeshwara temple and the Gaddige’s tomb.

The next best place to visit here is the Valnoor Fishing Camp. This is an amazing place to be in. You can camp near the lake and stay here and enjoy fishing. Apart from this, other places to visit here is the Chelvara Falls, Kakkabe, and Mallalli falls.

The Coorgi food is simply amazing. Non- vegetarians would simply love to gorge on the famous pork, lamb and local fish preparations. Also, dishes made out of bamboo shoot are a major specialty here.

Coorg is simply the best tourist destination in South India. It is almost 6 hours drive from Bangalore and there are buses available from Bangalore. Also, do not forget to buy the red sandalwood which is a specialty of this place.
